The town centre was reimagined, diversifying its uses, to create a roadmap for the introduction of urban living as part of a sustainable, flexible, community focused regeneration programme.
The project inverts the current ‘island’ layout to create a town centre that is seamlessly integrated with the surrounding area, weaving together Yate’s communities, transport corridors and existing green infrastructure of the River Frome corridor and community parks.
The project delivers a development framework that respects current ownership and creates new opportunities for the client, local authority and community.
