Victoria Place has around 12 million annual visitors. We were appointed by Network Rail to design proposals for Victoria Place at Victoria Station, with the aim of relaunching the scheme as a food and retail location attracting a greater proportion of the flow of visitors to the station and from the surrounding area.
Victoria Place sits above platforms 16 – 19 and we developed the design to avoid the need for expensive track possessions that would have seriously delayed the programme. Close co-operation with the station team was required to deliver the project.
As well as new interior finishes, graphics and signage our proposals included improved presence on the station concourse and from the street entrance. The scheme was shortlisted for the BCSC Gold Award 2014.
