Angel Central is an £8 million reconfiguration of a fifteen year old mixed use scheme. The proposal includes the regeneration of the public realm, a new bridge at first floor to allow the addition of a new restaurant and al fresco dining area and the conversion of the existing car park into new retail and leisure space.
Public consultation was a major issue working with this popular landmark. A series of consultations and negotiations with the London Borough of Islington resulted in alternative design responses, leading to successful planning consent.
As part of the scheme we are working closely with Wolfgang Buttress to re-imagine his original artwork.
