John’s main interests are working with the client to formulate a clear brief and developing creative design responses and strategies.

As well as working in the early project stages has considerable experience in project implementation and delivery and his clients include Capital Shopping Centres, Hammerson, Network Rail, Spenhill, Helical Bar and Ivanhoe Cambridge as well as many other developers with whom he has worked to develop original designs and create value.

John originally joined Michael Haskoll Associates in 1983. After six years he left for spells at Geoffrey Reid and BDP, re-joining Haskoll in 1996 to manage the implementation team for the Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading.

During his career, John has completed projects in the residential, commercial and transportation sectors as well as retail and leisure. Significant recent projects include Pioneer Point Ilford, Trinity Square Nottingham, St Enoch Glasgow and New Square West Bromwich as well as several projects for Network Rail at London Victoria, London Liverpool Street, Brixton and Liverpool Lime Street Stations.

John registered as an architect in 1981, is a member of the RIBA and the Academy of Urbanism, and is listed on the RIBA Conservation Register. He has been a member of the RIBA’s International Committee since 2010 and Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the Commonwealth Association of Architects since 2013.
